2025 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR PORT TOWNSEND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

There are two scholarship categories you may apply for:
- General Scholarship
- Neil Potthoff Education Scholarship
Purpose of this scholarship: To provide financial support for continuing education to high school seniors graduating from a public or private school in 2025.
Qualifications: The scholarship recipient will be a student who plans to attend a vocational or technical school, a community college, or a four-year college or university in 2025-2026. We wish to support students who have demonstrated a commitment to learning inside and outside the classroom and who have a spirit of community service to their school and larger community.
Please note: These scholarships are only for students who will be attending further education this coming fall. If you are planning on taking a gap year, we ask that you apply when you return. We can give you more details on how to do that.
General Scholarship: $1,000 - $2,500
$8,000 total General Scholarship funds available.
Neil Potthoff Education Scholarship: $2,000
One scholarship will be awarded.
Neil Potthoff was a long-time principal of Port Townsend High School and a member of the Rotary Club of Port Townsend for many years.
Qualifications: In addition to the above qualifications, the recipient of the Neil Potthoff Scholarship will be a student seeking a career in education.

Please tell us about your educational goals:
- College/University/Voc-Tech you plan to attend
- Degree or certification you are seeking
- Family circumstances, if any, that impact your financial need
Please submit a short essay about a school, community, or employment experience that has had a significant impact on you and influenced your educational goals.
Please attach the following documents:
- High School Transcripts
- Recommendation letter from a high school teacher or counselor
- Recommendation letter from someone in your community outside of your family who knows you well.
