Rotary Interact Club

Purpose of Interact

INTERACT is a Rotary International affiliate youth service club offering fun with peers and meaningful service opportunities to High School teens.  INTERACT stands for “INTERnational ACTion” and promotes connection between teens in more than 8,700 clubs in countries all over the world, spreading international understanding and fellowship through some activities while offering service closer to home with other efforts.

Our Mission Statement

Members of Port Townsend High School INTERACT are asked to promote humanitarian service, goodwill, and high ethical standards when interacting with others in their school, community, country, and within the human family globally.

Interested in becoming an Interact member?

EVERYONE is welcome to come visit our meetings, hear our plans, and get to know who we are.  Then decide if we are the service club for you. “Five hours, Five bucks” is all we ask.

Since we seek members committed to a service ethic, PTHS INTERACT requires performance of 5 hours of community or club service to demonstrate that commitment before an individual can pay their dues and be inducted into Full Membership. “Five hours, Five bucks” – it’s not too much to ask!

Suzanne showed us some slides taken in Guatemala and handed out weavings she brought back.  One was a bag which she presented to Bill Howard in front of the slide showing the monument installed at Batzaja in his honor.
